About me
I've been around the industry since 2009 in a variety of roles, starting my CG journey in Bournemouth studying, and eventually setting off to London to see what all the fuss was about!
I cut my teeth at a small animatics company. First by creating an in-house library of all the assets created over the years, this included building a web-based ui for quickly locating and extracting assets. Shortly after this I started working as a support artist on various animatics, and eventually ended up leading projects, including going to client briefings and working out solutions with the creatives. Much of this work was creating high end animatics under extremely short deadlines.
Leading projects gave me a chance to experience the entire pipeline, and gain a real understanding of everything required to take a project from an idea to reality. I also took on more creative control over the project from shot layout, to editing.
Whilst working as a support artist on broadcast tv commercials, I was given a chance to continue the pipeline on from the animatic stage, creating even higher quality models, and more complex rendering techniques.
Since 2011 I've been mostly working on compositing and retouching for print and broadcast tvc's . Taking a render to its full potential, and creating all the little details that bring the media to life, are what I find most rewarding.
Along side all this I have continually taken on various freelance jobs, from in-house instructional videos to keying and roto work.
My personal interests include art, travel, architecture, photography and getting out into nature whenever I can find time away from my pc!
